For years, my family and friends have enjoyed my Hawaiian cakes so much that they kept telling me to open a bakery. Unfortunately, state laws prevent me from selling homemade goods, and the time and expense of opening a real brick and mortar business is unrealistic. Right now I just don’t have the time to open or run a bakery. I still need to devote most of my time to taking care of my children and family. So I thought the next best thing would be to write a book of my cake recipes.
And yes, you who are my family, my friends, and my neighbors know that I have been working on this for quite some time. And you’ve all been patiently waiting and waiting, hearing me talk about “my book.” So with the help of my oldest daughter, Kallie, I’m launching this blog to get in the groove of writing regularly and to practice my newbie photography skills. Although my Hawaiian cake recipes are for my book, I have many other recipes, projects, and thoughts that I’d like to write about and share. I hope you’ll journey with me and enjoy!
